Chelsea fans have shown great excitement on social media following the impressive performance of Mykhailo Mudryk in the U21 European Championship 2023, representing U21 Ukraine.
Back in January, Chelsea spent £62 million to lure Mudryk away from Shakhtar Donetsk. However, the 22-year-old player failed to make an impact in his early months in England. In 15 appearances in the Premier League for the home team at Stamford Bridge, Mudryk only managed 2 assists and failed to score any goals.
Many opinions suggest that Mudryk could be another failed signing for Chelsea. However, in recent weeks, the winger has displayed impressive form while playing for the U21 Ukraine team in the U21 European Championship. Last night, Mudryk once again made an impression in the semifinal match against U21 Spain.
The 22-year-old player delivered a superb assist to Artem Bondarenko, who opened the scoring in the 13th minute by accelerating from midfield and eliminating the U21 Spanish defender with a highly technical dribbling move.

When U21 Ukraine was trailing 2-1, Mudryk executed another excellent assist, but it was denied a goal by U21 Spanish goalkeeper Arnau Tenas. In the end, Mudryk’s team suffered a 1-5 defeat and was eliminated in the semifinals of the U21 European Championship. Fans quickly reacted to Mudryk’s performance on social media.
One person said, “A fantastic assist by Mudryk. He will shine in the next season.”
Another person tweeted, “Mudryk is really good in situations like this.”
A third fan added, “Great things are coming for Mudryk in the upcoming season, the rest of the Premier League should be careful.”
Another person wrote, “The U21 European Championship can become a motivation for Mudryk in the next season.”
While the fifth person commented, “Mudryk will bounce back in the next season.”
