Callum Hudson-Odoi leaving Chelsea – Chelsea’s star player, Callum Hudson-Odoi, has agreed to personal terms with Fulham, and now the London-based team will finalize the transfer fee with The Blues.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was once considered to have immense potential, but unfortunately, he couldn’t develop into a top winger. Currently, the 2000-born player is not in the plans of manager Pochettino, and Chelsea is ready to let him go for around £20 million.
Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio was rumored to have inquired about borrowing the English player, but Chelsea turned down the offer. The Blues want to sell Hudson-Odoi outright, and the player himself desires the same. In England, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are also interested in the Chelsea winger.
However, according to the Evening Standard, Callum Hudson-Odoi has agreed to personal terms with Fulham, and now the London-based team will finalize the transfer fee with The Blues. Previously, their initial offer of £8 million was rejected by Chelsea.
It is highly likely that Chelsea and Fulham will agree on a final fee of £15 million. Hudson-Odoi is currently training with the U21 team to maintain fitness, and he is likely to become Fulham’s fourth signing in the summer of 2023, following Raul Jimenez from Wolves, Mohammed Salisu from Southampton, and Calvin Bassey from Ajax.
With the signings of the above three players costing Fulham over £30 million, adding Hudson-Odoi for £15 million would still keep their spending this summer below £50 million. On the other hand, the team faces the risk of losing star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is keen on moving to Al-Ahli.
